Finding balance. Holding steady. Touching the wall.
Touching the Wall is my first show at Core Gallery. It is a representation of my ongoing examination into the notion of home once we move beyond the physical structure. It will include not only acrylic paintings but a wood sculpture that reaches 6', the title piece for the show, and two fiber pieces. All of the work was created during the past year.
Also in the gallery will be new oils on loose canvas by John Smither. His exhibition, Cedars vs. Blackberries - Seattle Back Alley Brawl, focuses on the clash between old and new as it plays out between these two plant forms recognizable to most Seattleites.
Please join us at the opening on March 3 between 6-9 pm during the First Thursday Art Walk in Seattle. The show will run from March 3 to March 26. Core Gallery is located at 117 Prefontaine and is open Wed-Sat from noon to 6 pm.
