Thick and thin. Light and dark. Robert Yoder's paintings and collages in a show he calls DILF at Platform Gallery are often compelling in their graphic contrasts and elegance. Details have been fondled but not overworked. The result is a show that is a little bit coy. The work draws you in but reveals not quite enough. Ultimately you are left wondering and yet vaguely satisfied, well not satisfied enough to stop thinking about them. It's a lovely show.
