Earlier this year I began a new series of paintings called Home Symbols as a continuation of my exploration into the elusive gap that can arise between reality and our mental concept of home. I believe that imaginings of what makes up home for each of us can be represented in visual symbols that stand in for ideas of love, security, trust or safety. You might call these my own version of the Morse code.
