Why the Sciences Need Art

Did you know that physicist Niels Bohr was a lover of Cubism and that it is probable his study of art helped him to reimagine the structure of matter?  That is the case that author Jonah Lehrer at Seed Magazine makes in his article "Why the Sciences Need Art."  He believes that modern science has not made much headway toward developing an overarching theory to explain our world but "[B]y heeding the wisdom of the arts, science can gain the kinds of new insights and perspectives that are the seeds of scientific progress."  Check out the full article here.
