Shows that I won't be missing at First Thursday Art Walk tonight:
Gillian Theobald at Linda Hodges Gillian has the studio next to mine, which makes me a lucky dog. She is a master colorist and painter, not compliments I toss around lightly. Gillian is truly a gem in all definitions of the word (okay, she's not a stone). She is, however, humble and generous with her incredible depth of knowledge of painting, materials and life. I've learned so much from her over the years. Her show is a must see.
Mystics Sons of Morris Graves at Rock/DeMent. Family matters kept me from submitting something of my own. Great idea for a show.
