Well, two art walks in one week turned out to be a very good idea. Sitting on a shady sidewalk in Kirkland in 80 degree weather was a mighty fine way to spend an evening. White lights in the trees. The buzz of conversation flowing from restaurants along the street. Sidewalks full of artists and people. It was just a little magical, possibly because on August 12 it finally felt like summer!
Back in Ballard on Saturday night, summer struck with a vengeance. Seattle does not suffer 90+ degree weather well and yet so many people stopped by Building C Studios. It was such a pleasure catching up with friends and meeting new people. Great conversations were had about art, photography, life, and home, of course.
And now for the news, I just received word that four of my Home Symbols Series paintings have been accepted into the Northwest Fine Arts Competition, which will be up during the month of October. Stay tuned for more information.
